Friendly funloving 9mo old amstaff Royale in danger@NYC kill shelter in Manhattan, New York For Sale

A volunteer writes: Oh, hi there! My name is Royale (like royal but even fancier!) and maybe you didn't notice because you were so blinded by my handsome face, but I have a toy in my mouth. It's a plush toy (my favorite kind) and it's shaped like an octopus (so many legs to chew!) and I really really really want to play with it. And you. Forever. Is that something you might be interested in? Just in case my awesome toy isn't enough to win you over (though how could it not be? It's an octopus, people!!!) I have lots of other good stuff to share as well. My volunteer tells me I've got something called 'moxie' and that I'm 'full of beans', which is silly because I don't even like beans, I like dog treats. Do you have any treats for me? I can get a little over-excited when taking them from your hand but it's only because they're so yummy and also because my last family never took the time to teach me these things you call 'table manners'. I really love meeting new people and other dogs and my tail wags super hard when I do because I'm so happy. It also wags when I'm exploring outside or playing tug-o-war or getting snuggles. Let's just say I'm happy a LOT of the time. I pull a bit on the leash but I'm always ready to listen to your voice and I think I might be house trained because I usually wait until we're outside to go potty and my volunteer tells me this is a Very Good Dog thing to do. I'm fast on my feet and great at catching a ball (though my heart belongs to plush toys) and these little legs are actually a lot more powerful than they look. Can you keep a secret? I think I might be a superhero! I have this superpower that when I go back into my den I jump jump jump straight into the air and I have to be kept in a kennel with a roof, just in case I learn how to fly! Yep, I'm a pretty special puppy. They tell me I got good grades on my behavior test and I can live in an experienced home with people who get me and understand that I'm still learning. You know, things like how to keep my mouth soft when I hold my toys or eat my food, how to walk in a straight line when there's a leash round my neck, stuff like that. So anyway...until my new family comes I'll just be waiting here. All by myself. Holding a really cool octopus toy that you'd have to be crazy not to wanna play with...just sayin'.
When off-leash with other dogs, Royale is playful and respectful with female dogs. He is very tolerant and engages in very appropriate play.

*Due to an unknown incident at the shelter, the Dept of Health has placed a temporary hold on Royale, meaning he cannot be adopted at the moment.
